In October 2017 I completed three courses with Trendimi. I was wary of Trendimi’s short online “Accredited” courses, as I found others were, after reading reviews by former and possible future students. Many questioned if the course was worth it, or if it was acknowledged, or if it was a scam. I concluded that doing their courses wouldn’t result in a job, but add to a resume, and further education would be required if seeking employment in that specific field.

The three courses I completed were:

·       Mindfulness Masterclass
·       Holistic Therapy
·       Diet for Beauty and Health

All three were informative, interesting and easy to complete. Each course has a certain amount of Modules to read through and a multiple choice test after each Module (which can be completed as you read through the text). It took two days to complete each course.

After successful completion you receive a free PDF certificate issued by Trendimi. A hard copy can be purchased for $19.99 from accrediting body International Council for Online Education Standards (ICOES).

If you are looking to do a Trendimi course with the thought of being employable in the field studied afterwards then this isn’t the course for you. Trendimi courses are more for gaining knowledge and an introduction to a certain subject. If the subject takes your interest then further formal education will be needed to gain employment. For example, upon completing my courses I am not certified to be a Holistic Therapist, but I am aware of different types of Holistic Therapies available and what is involved in setting up a Holistic Practice. I am also not a Mindfulness Master who can teach Mindfulness, but I understand the concept of Mindfulness and how it can be used to improve one’s life. I also cannot be a Dietician that specialises in Beauty and Health, but I am informed in what foods can aid in healthier skin, hair and nails and which foods are positive and negative forces for one’s health.

In conclusion doing a Trendimi course is more for your own interest and to gain new knowledge about a topic. It won’t give you certification to do a specific job, but will help add to your education and resume on your journey to gain employment. Also don’t pay full price for the course because it definitely isn’t worth it then. I found a voucher on Groupon.com.au where I purchased all three courses for $22.
